Сельскохозяйственные цели или назначение, то что собственно отличает поле от геообъекта, определяется годом урожая, севооборотом, годовым планированием, оперативным планированием, а также возможностью учета фактических работ на полях.

Данный инструмент позволяет “вырезать” область внутри поля, полезно, если поле расположен объект, мешающий обработке поля, или в поле находится область, которая не нуждается в обработке.

Для того чтобы получать данные об активности техники в рамках этих контуров необходимо указать границы года урожая через открытие/закрытие года урожая поля/полей. Создание структуры посевных площадей происходит через назначение культур на поля. Для этого необходимо иметь заполненный справочник культур и технологий культур.
